08:58 - Petrol stop. another 19.12 Litres.
13:30 - Reached Pontedera. The motorway toll was only €13
Fortunately, the Museo Piaggio (Piaggio Musuem) is sign posted, but once you reach the Piaggio factory all the surrounding parking requires a permit
It would appear that these are for the workings and not for visitors.
We took a chance and parked the car Viale Rinaldo Piaggio (named after the son of the original founder), and walked to the factory entrance displaying the museums banner.
The museum is set back from the entrance, which is reached by passing by a Piaggio planes, cable cars and a even a train (which is partly within the hallway at the museum entrance).
Unfortunately on entering the hall, we found that the free museum is only only Webdneday to Saturday, and today is Tuesday!
We returned to the car and continued onto the campsite in Pisa.
13:57 - Continued on local roads to Pisa
16:02 - Reached the camp, which is located on the west side of Pisa on the border of the coastal woodland.
The camp is called Campeggio Torre Pendente.
We are only staying one night, but then we have only come to see the famous tower.
The tent went up easyly and quickly checked out the site, then off to see the tower.
Leaving the camp, we had to walk through an underpass which allow access to the town center without crossing the train tracks for Pisa station.
This and the town was marked with graffitti and did not seem very tourist freindly.
Then you reach the small paved area outside the archways to the catherals
